Frequently Asked Questions
How does the 14 day Free Trial work?
How soon before I see results?
Remember, if you want more reviews, you have to consistently start inviting more people to review you. Our system makes it very easy for you to ask for reviews and makes it easy for your customers to write reviews.
What works best, reminder cards, email, or text?
The more ways you ask for a review, the more effective it will be. You should always have someone ask in person to start with. Then hand out reminder cards, if that is practical for your business. Next, send the email invite if you have an email address and if you also have permission to text them, send a text invite if you have that on your plan.
Reminder cards are an effective low-tech way to leave people with a physical reminder to leave a review that they may reference later. They are available for purchase to both editions. You may also print up your own reminders to give your customers. They are tried and true and they work.
Email invites are highly effective because they provide a direct link to your review landing page where customers can leave reviews. There are also 3 different email reminders that are sent over a 7 day period, further increasing your conversion rates for reviews.
Text invites are only available with the Professional Edition. They are extremely effective because they are both instant and the link sent connects your customer’s smart phone to your mobile review landing page. Using both email invites along with text invites is the most effective automated way to get the highest conversion rates for more reviews.
How does the Review Guarantee Work?
Reviews are about more than just how many and what is your star rating. How recent your reviews are matters for two very important reasons. First and most importantly, 44% of consumers say that a review must have been written within 1 month to even be relevant. Second, having a regular stream of current reviews help you with search engine positioning.
Can people still leave a review if they give you a negative rating?
Can you get rid of my bad reviews?
Companies that give you the impression that they can remove your bad reviews from the internet are lying to you. Nobody can get rid of your bad reviews. But there are different strategies to deal with them. Companies that make those false claims do it the wrong way, and can potentially harm your business. Anywhere Reviews does it the right way.
Negative reviews are not normally taken off the internet. They show up in search results for two simple reasons; first, because they are relevant and second, because there is not much other content to display that is both recent and relevant. The best strategy to manage them is to minimize their impact. This is done by providing the search engines other things to show instead, so those negative results get “buried” further and further behind in the search results.
Beware: there are companies who will try to “bury” bad reviews by posting lots of fake good reviews and other fake positive content about your business. This is a very dangerous tactic and almost never works in the long run. Search engines are trusted because they deliver relevant search results to their users. To the degree that the search results are fraudulent or misleading, this hurts the search engine’s credibility. As a result search engines such as Google or Bing sometimes punish businesses who engage in fraudulent strategies to game search results. They do this by lowering your position in their search results. They can even remove your business from their search results altogether. Not worth the risk!
Fortunately, the right way is the easy way! Anywhere Reviews helps you to flood your business with positive reviews (real, legitimate reviews) while at the same time, stopping more negative reviews before they happen! Over a relatively short period of time, your older bad reviews will naturally be further and further down in your search results due to the volume of fresh, relevant content. Furthermore, your bad reviews will actually become less relevant because as a percentage of your customers, they are now outliers and not typical. This further minimizes their impact.
Is there review monitoring for every review site?
What industries do reviews work best for?
If you think reviews don’t matter to your type of business – your wrong. Reviews are coming. They are coming to every type of business and if they are not very popular with your type of business right now, they will be soon. It is far better to be ahead of this trend than behind it. Reviews help all types of businesses and organizations, big or small. They affect their search results and help them gain new customers.
Here is a list of different business types and how they are using Anywhere Reviews to get new business right now!
My industry doesn't get many reviews. Do I still need this?
Anywhere Reviews is for all types of business or organizations that have users (customers, clients, patients, members, students, etc.) who may at some point decide to leave you a review somewhere online (Google, Yelp, Facebook, and scores of industry specific review sites). That’s pretty much everybody.
How do reviews affect search results and what is local SEO?
Reviews play a critical role in how most businesses attract new customers today. This is primarily due to the fact that virtually everyone these days uses local search to find the new business they are looking for, and every major search engine displays reviews in their results. If you have no reviews or poor reviews, you are significantly less likely to get called. By using Anywhere Reviews to get more reviews, you can enhance your local search in three ways:
- Higher Ranking – reviews are one of the factors that search engine algorithms use when determining ranking, and it is clearly becoming more important to them. They take into account your review volume, review scores, and how recent your reviews are. Anywhere Reviews improves all three factors.
- Better Visibility – when the search results come back, how would you rather have your listing be displayed:
Your Business Name
Your Business Name
4.8 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (87 reviews)
- Higher Conversion Rates – Get more clicks to your website, calls to your business, and visits to your location. Positive reviews have a dramatic impact on your conversion rate and the more you have, the higher your conversion rate will be.
All I care about is Google. Does anything else really matter?
While Google may account for about two thirds of all search engine traffic, that also means that about one third is controlled by others. That one third matters, too! Both Yahoo and Bing use Yelp reviews in their search results. The iPhone is the most popular smart phone on the market and Apple Maps also uses Yelp reviews in their location search results. Beyond all this, many people don’t use search engines at all and instead search for businesses on Facebook! Still others may go about finding a new business in a completely different way – they don’t search, they research. Instead of searching for “restaurant near me” they may search for “restaurant review sites” and be taken to any number of restaurant (industry-specific) review sites!
If it all seems a bit much, that’s where Anywhere Reviews can help! We link to all your review sites (even custom one’s) and it’s all taken care of for you.
Is there a limit to how many times your landing page can be used?
How many reviews do I need? What's a good score?
When it comes to your average score, at a minimum, you want your score to be in the 4-star range. For some industries, where many competitors may already have had a review management system in place for some time, such as for restaurants or car dealerships, a score of anything less than a 4.5 is problematic. If your score is in the 3.9 range or below, you are likely losing business because of this. If your score is non-existent, you have an opportunity to easily raise your profile in the search results. Unfortunately, you are also at risk of having just a few bad reviews define your business online.
When it comes to the number of reviews, you must have both volume and recent reviews. As far as volume is concerned, it is relative to the size of your business. If you see a lot of customers, but have a low number of reviews, your business has a problem. Satisfied customers are perfectly willing to write reviews, as long as you have the right system in place to help them. As for recent reviews, the older a review is, the more people discount it. A review that is a year or even six months old is not looked upon as a reliable indicator of how someone’s experience is likely to be today. Indeed, in a recent study, 44% said that a review must have been written within one month to be relevant, so the real question becomes how many new reviews do I need each month? That requires a process.
Will happy customers really write reviews?
Yes they will! Something we hear a lot of is that unhappy customers are far more likely to write reviews. There is some truth to this. While dissatisfied customers may be more motivated to actually write reviews, most businesses do a great job with their customers and have way more happy ones than unhappy ones. In fact, Anywhere Reviews gives you a method to keep those unhappy customers from writing bad reviews. But what about the other half of the equation? Why don’t happy customers write more reviews? There are three reasons for this, which Anywhere Reviews solves:
- Problem: They never thought about it.
They entered your business expecting good service and they received it. And then they left. The thought of leaving a review about this simply never crossed their mind. Anywhere Reviews identifies your happy customers and floods your Review Funnel with invitations to review.
Our Solution: Ask Them
- Problem: They forgot.
While your customers may have had a great experience and even told you they would be happy to write a glowing review, once they left, they resumed the hundreds of other priorities in their lives. Despite their best intentions, they simply forgot. Anywhere Reviews provides tools for both reminders and automatic follow up.
Our Solution: Remind Them
- Problem: It was too difficult.
Some customers actually make the effort to go to a review site only to discover that it is not obvious what to do and so they give up. Anywhere Reviews provides easy step-by-step directions for every review site to guide your customers through the review process.
Our Solution: Guide Them
Happy customers are perfectly willing to write reviews for you, provided you have the right system in place for them to make it easy!
Why does Anywhere Reviews cost so much less?
Other companies make the process seem very complex and mysterious, but assure you that they have highly qualified experts to work on your account. Often these “experts” are just low-paid outsourced labor (often not based in the United States) who post responses to your reviews or worse, post fake content about your business in a misguided attempt to try to “bury” bad reviews. It’s not unusual for us to hear, “We are getting a better result with Anywhere Reviews for $59 per month than we were getting with our old company for $599 per month!” Yeah, we know.
The process is not mysterious… it’s actually very straight forward. We believe that the way to grow a business is by delivering a superior product at a lower price. We publish our pricing right on our website for everyone to see. We believe we need to earn your business and deliver good service each and every month, not just at renewal time – that’s why we have no contract. Clients stay because they see the value and want to, not because they are stuck in some long term contract. We automate much of our process and provide you with the tools to easily manage the rest. We beat their pricing by providing a better product, built with better technology, and sold through a more efficient and direct sales process.
Is there a contract? How do you cancel?
Which plan should I get?
Invites: How you plan to invite your customers to leave reviews will also be a factor in determining which edition is best for you. Reminder cards are an effective low-tech way to leave people with a physical reminder to leave a review that they may reference later. They are available for purchase to both editions. You may also print up your own reminders to give your customers. Using both email invites along with text invites is the most effective way to get the highest conversion rates for more reviews.
Attach an Offer: If you plan to use this feature, this may factor into your decision. It is included with the Professional Edition and is a $19 option for the Standard Edition.
Social Media Features: The Professional Edition includes the options for the social media connect bar and also social media auto-posting of reviews. The Standard Edition does not include social media features.
Multiple Locations: If your business has more than one store or location, then you should get the Group Edition. The Group Edition is the same as the Professional Edition except that it supports multi-location businesses, and is less expensive than subscribing to the Professional Edition for each location you have.
What additional charges are there?
Staff Pages: These special add-on pages are optional for all editions. The Staff Page is good for up to 24 employees and is $29 per month. For the Group Edition, each location would need it’s own Staff Page. You may need to have your staff page updated periodically due to employee turnover. Once your initial Staff Page is set up, there is a charge of $7.50 when you make a request to have your staff page updated.
High Volume Email & Text Plan: Only available for the Professional & Group Edition for $39 per month (and per location for the Group Edition).
Reminder Cards: These are available for purchase for both editions. The cost is $45 for 500 reminder cards, $125 for 1500 reminder cards, or $295 for 5000 reminder cards. You are not required to use our reminder cards – you are free to print up whatever reminder materials you deem appropriate. We have found this method to be effective and provide this service as a convenience.
Can you change plans?
How does Group Edition work?
What is the High Volume Email/Text plan?
Some businesses who see a high level of customers per day may need a larger allotment of email and text message invites, such as physician groups, auto dealerships, hotels, or retail stores. The High Volume Email & Text Plan is available for those who are using the Professional or Group Editions for $39 per month (per location). It increases the email allotment to 500 email invites every 7 days and increases the text message allotment to 1000 per month.
How does Attach an Offer work?
If you order reminder cards from us and you also are using the Attach an Offer feature, your offer will also be referenced on your reminder cards. This is a powerful marketing feature which both promotes more reviews and more repeat business!
What are Staff Pages? How do they work?
Staff Pages are used to list individual employees with direct links to their personal review sites, as opposed to your company review landing page which links to review sites for the company itself, not the individuals. A typical example would be a Real Estate Agency. The review landing page may link to the Agency’s Google review page, Facebook review page, and Yelp. The Staff link will open the Staff Page which will list the individual real estate agents. Under their names will be direct links to their individual review sites, where clients can review the individual agent. People often review the agent once they have reviewed the company. The individual agents may have review sites set up on Realtor, Zillow, Trulia, or other industry-specific review sites. Please note that the review monitoring feature is for the company account and not for the individual employees, though most review sites do send them alerts when they receive new reviews.
