Real estate agents get reviewed. There are specialty review sites just for real estate agents… Realtor, Trulia, Zillow, just to name a few. Often, we focus on the specialty sites for our industry but what about Google and Google Reviews? How can you use Google Reviews to sell more houses?
When people enter the market for something or even begin to think about entering the market for something, they begin to research, and no they don’t do research at the library. Let’s face it, we are a mobile and multi-tasking society. That means that when a question pops into our heads (at dinner, while watching TV, etc) we reach for our smart phone and get on Google. Most searches are done on mobile devices these days. So when we research, it means using Google on you phone. That is called location based search – and that’s where reviews come into play. If you search for a real estate agency (Google will probably suggest the append “near me”), you will get a list of results, and towards the top will be not websites, but google listings featuring your star rating based on your reviews. Who do you think gets more phone calls and email, the agency with a 4.9 star rating and 125 reviews, or the one with no reviews, or worse just 3 or 4 reviews with one of them being bad. Reviews matter, but to get more, you need a process. That’s where we can help.
